It's not easy coming up with something to write about in the blog every day. A lot of the stuff that I do each day is fairly mundane and not worth mentioning. Of course, I wonder if everyone feels that way. I wonder if someday there will be giant starships cruising between the galaxies, witnessing all kinds of black holes and supernovas and gas giants and alien space herds, and the captain's log entry will read, "Nothing new really happened today..."

I plan on seeing The Life Aquatic this weekend. Let's hope it doesn't suck because Wes Anderson is one of my last, best hopes for mankind.

Woke up this morning with Cassidy under my head, like a pillow. It didn't look comfortable for her, so she must have been just as tired as I was.

It is hard coming up with stuff to say every day. And it is very hard to tell who your readership is and how often they're checking in. But if I've learned one thing, it's that if you're not doing the blog for yourself, don't bother. I would guess after filling my blog up for the past two years that I have a readership which, on a good day, is probably 10-12 people. Not exactly huge numbers.

I get maybe 90 hits a day, but I have no idea who 90% of those people are, obviously. And many are looking for naked pictures of Ann COulter.

On the other hand, people drift in, people drift out and people find you by accident because they're looking for you online.

Yeah, I knew from the start that this blog would be for no one's entertainment but my own. As I told Erin, my blog isn't much more than scribblings on that giant toilet stall that we call the internet...
